Day Care at Home Volunteers

This amazing new paid-for service offers older people the chance of a day care experience in their own home, as due to the restrictions imposed by the coronavirus, means that they are not able to welcome everyone back to the Age UK day centres as they would like.  The service will provide support to some of the most isolated and vulnerable older people in our community.  Age UK Northamptonshire will do this as long as people would like the service and it is safe for them to provide it.

They are looking for friendly, caring people who can visit an older person at home, stay for a chat, providing company and support, maybe do a jigsaw puzzle together, perhaps reminisce about events over a cup of tea.  You can make a huge difference to a lonely older person.

Skills

Kind and compassionate, good listener
