To support the maintenance of the scheme’s communal gardens to ensure that they are attractive, welcoming and stimulating environments in which our customers can relax or be active.
Key Responsibilities;
• Communicate with customers to understand and create gardens inspired by their requirements and feedback.
• Encourage customers to actively participate in gardening to the best of their physical ability.
• Plant and maintain seasonal plants.
• Mow, trim and fertilise green spaces.
• Mulch, edge and weed gardens.
• Prune and trim trees and bushes
• Maintain gardening equipment and machinery, like mowers, trimmers and leaf blowers.
• Monitor and maintain the health of plants
• Deal with pest problems that could damage plants. • Keep gardens and green spaces safe environments, clear of debris and litter.
Skills
• Ability to safely use and store gardening equipment, fertilisers and pesticides.
• Ability to apply manual handling best-practice whilst conducting physical activities.
• Ability to design attractive landscaping that is attractive, welcoming and stimulating.
• Passionate about gardening, with an appreciation for the health and wellbeing benefits that gardens and gardening can provide to customer.
• An effective communicator who is able to encourage customer to use communal gardens and actively participate in their maintenance.
