There are various scouting age groups in need of volunteers to help out on an occasional, or more frequent, basis.
General help to set up an activity at the beginning of an evening, interact with the children and then help to pack away at the end of the session.
You do not need any leader training, but would need a DBS check. The role would be working alongside current volunteers, who would plan the evening. The evenings are very varied, from hikes, to designing and making things, arts and crafts and everything in between. The leaders need keen people to assist with the general running of the evening.
Mon Beavers, aged 6-8. 6.15pm-7.30pm
Tues/Wed Cubs, aged 8-10. 6.30pm-8pm
Fri Beavers, aged 6-8. 6.15pm-7.30pm
Skills
No previous skills needed, but a keen interest to interact and educate young people and help with their badge work.
