Telephone Gateway Assessor

This role plays and important part in helping to answering the county CAB hotline. The assessor identifies the initial problem that the individual is calling about in line with identified procedure. Completing the electronic case recording system ( Casebook) and either signposting the client to other organisations that can help them or making them an appointment to come in and see an adviser for a full assessment. Gateway assessments usually take 15-20 minutes to undertake.


Full training will be given in CAB procedure it would be useful if the individual had some customer service experience and some ability with different IT systems e.g. excel, word
