Are you passionate about making a difference in your community?

ABILITY CIC, a thriving not-for-profit organisation, is excited to launch their volunteer driving scheme – and are looking for compassionate individuals to get involved!

Help to provide essential transport for everyone, especially those who are most vulnerable and have limited access to other options.

Why volunteer with Ability?       

• No vehicle needed:  Wheelchair-accessible vehicles provided, so there’s no wear and tear on your own car.       
• Flexible hours: Volunteer at times that suit you – with no weekend commitments.     
• Full support: Ability arrange your DBS check, provide comprehensive training, and cover all insurance requirements.     
• Expense coverage: All travel expenses are reimbursed – just bring your time and dedication!

Skills

• Strong awareness of, and commitment to, road safety regulations

• Ability to drive wheelchair-accessible vehicles (training provided)

• Friendly, respectful, and compassionate approach towards passengers

• Experience of, or interest in, supporting vulnerable and elderly members of the community

• Basic local area knowledge (desirable but not essential)

• Confident and careful driving ability (holding a full, valid UK driving licence)
