This is a volunteer role and is primarily about making sure our volunteers feel appreciated, are keeping safe boundaries and undertaking training as required.
You will encourage our volunteers to communicate with C2C about any intention to do any work with our service users outside the centre and/or out of work hours and making sure there is someone from the management team available for back up if required.
If a service user were to ask for support outside of the building, for any reason, this request must be referred to the line manager before any agreement to comply is made.
Make sure our volunteers adhere to our lone working policy so we can keep them safe.
You will encourage our volunteers to attend training as required.
The volunteer coordinator's responsibilities include recruiting and training new volunteers, updating our volunteer spreadsheet, matching volunteers to opportunities that suit their skills, keeping volunteers informed of training.
You should uphold the values of C2C while ensuring our volunteers feel valued in their positions.
