Volunteer Sea Cadet Instructor

Sea Cadet Units are looking for enthusiastic and passionate volunteers to organise activities for young people and become Volunteer Sea Cadet Instructors.

Key Tasks;

To work with young people (cadets) To contribute to the planning and facilitation of cadet training programmes and activities. Support cadets to take part in activities and integrate with the group. Deliver instruction and training to adults and cadets in subjects from the Sea Cadets programme. Provide supervision of cadets and other young people engaged in Sea Cadet activities. Assist with the administrative functions of the Unit as required. Promote safeguarding and ensure the welfare of all young people. Ensure activities are safe and health and safety procedures are followed.


Person Spec;

Aged 18+ No previous experience necessary as full training will be given. It is essential that you are passionate about young people. Understand the importance of being a great role model for others to learn from. You will enjoy the great outdoors, particularly water sports. You will be adventurous and willing to try new things. You will need to be reliable and committed to volunteering. You will be able to work as part of a team. Be open minded and willing to learn new skills and develop as a person.
