Events Manager (Advisor(s))

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Volunteer Events Manager to help plan an deliver fund raising events for our small charity. This role involves co-ordinating all aspects of event planning, from concept through to execution, working closely with our team, volunteers and potentially community partners. As you can imagine for a charity, the challenge is working with no or an extremely limited budget! In the past we have taken part in the Northampton half marathon, a lift tower abseil, so nothing too different or big. We are open to all ideas, big or small. We generally have one or two events a year, which is completely down to resources. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference to the local community. You can be someone currently working who has a few hours spare a month, a parent wanting to give something back. If you would like to manage just one event a year, that is fine, we can have more than one of these volunteer posts. You will have the support of our marketing trustee and social media advisor.

Skills

Have experience and expertise in events management. You will be responsible for all aspects of an event, with the assistance and support of the team and volunteers . Advise and inform the charity of local community events which we could be part of. You will have a named person to link with and will contribute remotely. There may be times when you feel you need to meet face to face with someone, this is of course can be arranged around your own commitments.
