ABILITY CIC, a not-for-profit community organisation that provides safe, flexible, and convenient transport to local places of interest in and around West Northamptonshire and North Oxfordshire. Our services help members remain independent by supporting them in getting their shopping, enjoying days out, and attending medical appointments.
While ABILITY is fundamentally a transport service, it has evolved into so much more. Our members consistently tell us that it serves as a lifeline that combats loneliness, reduces social isolation, and fosters positive mental health. By enabling people to travel independently, socialise, and remain active, we help improve confidence, ease anxiety, and promote well-being. Friendships are formed throughout our journeys, and passengers often convey that the social aspect is more important than the transport.
