About
Garden Buddies is a community gardening service where volunteers provide practical help to elderly and disabled people, who have no other means of support, enabling them to maintain and enjoy their gardens.
This community project aims to offer support to the most needy while also providing a positive focus for volunteers of all abilities.
Who can use this service?
This service is available to people who:
are unable to carry out the work themselves due to age or disability
have no one living with them or within a reasonable distance, who could be expected to help
do not have the means to pay a commercial gardener
How does it work?
Once your membership application has been accepted, our team of volunteer Garden Buddies can carry out basic maintenance to be agreed with the member beforehand, including: tidying and clearing gardens, lawn mowing, hedge cutting, pruning, digging, strimming and garden clearance. We provide all the necessary equipment.
