Reading Heroes is a scheme organised by The Reader organisation, a UK-based international charity - bringing people together via Shared Reading. Reading Heroes volunteers read (via Zoom) with care-experienced children for one hour per week.
Reading Heroes send the books to both the children's and the volunteer's homes, and provide full support and training throughout the duration of the 26 week scheme, and aims to promote wellbeing amongst care-experienced children (and volunteers) via weekly Shared Reading sessions.
