There are 23,000 visually impaired people in Northamptonshire, and many face hidden loneliness. If you want to make a real difference from home, telephone befriending is a simple, meaningful way to help.

Skills

We’re looking for warm, reliable volunteers to make calls to a matched visually impaired person. A quick chat can lift their mood, ease isolation, and brighten their whole week. What’s needed: • Two character references • A clear DBS check • Your own phone (your number stays private) What you get: • Full training • Ongoing support • A rewarding connection A friendly voice can make all the difference.
