Volunteer Breakfast Cook- New Street Community Cafe for older people

Do you have a few hours to spare on Wednesday morning?

We are looking for a volunteer to cook breakfasts for our elderly customers who visit the Community cafe.

The cafe has a very friendly team of volunteers, and training will be provided.

It's a really nice way to support your community, meet new people, increase confidence and skills in a friendly and supportive environment.

The New Street cafe is a community hub for elderly people to come and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and some great cooked breakfasts, and a place where they can chat to others and make new friends. We are open on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Fridays for breakfast and on Thursdays we cook a community lunch, we also have knit and natter on a Wednesday!

Our menu has a great selection of breakfast options at affordable prices which includes: 

• Bacon or sausage sandwiches
• Scrambled and poached eggs
• Full English breakfast
  
• Toast
  
• Toasted fruit loaf or Teacakes etc.

Skills

• Friendly

• Training and support including, food hygiene training will be provided where applicable
• We ask our volunteers if they would be free to volunteer for one morning a week from 9.15am - 12pm.
