Daventry Volunteer Centre’s Horizon project offers holistic, person-centred support, to people with additional support needs, enabling them to increase social interaction within their community and build confidence and skills, which in turn improves mental health and well-being.
Our project has been supporting individuals and small groups to engage in activities such as Arts & Crafts, cooking & baking, walking, gardening and volunteering within the community.
Could you support any of these groups?
If you are a people person with an empathetic and caring nature and love to inspire and connect with others this role is tremendously rewarding and improves personal well-being along with others.
Groups are lead by a project co-ordinator but whatever you are interesting in, there is a group that would love your support.
Skills
Experience working with additional support needs and small groups of 18+ years would be beneficial but not essential.
Caring, compassionate and confidential work ethic.
